Central Silk Board Metro Station, BengaluruCentral Silk Board Metro Station, Bengaluru

Central Silk Board Metro Station is an elevated interchange station on Namma Metro, serving the busy Silk Board junction area on the Outer Ring Road in south Bengaluru. Today only the Yellow Line (RV Road to Bommasandra) runs here. The station was built with four tracks: two operational for the Yellow Line and two under construction for the upcoming Blue Line.

The Blue Line is not open yet. Reports from August 2026 say its opening has slipped into 2027, so for now Central Silk Board works as a Yellow Line station.

Timing

I couldn’t find a published timetable for Central Silk Board itself. A sample route from City Railway Station shows a first train at 5:26 AM and last at 11:31 PM from that end, while another listing for the same route gives different times. Train times vary by station and direction, so check BMRCL’s website or the Namma Metro app for the current schedule.

Location

The station is on the Outer Ring Road in the Central Silk Board Colony area of BTM Layout (Stage 2). The Central Silk Technological Research Institute is nearby.
